Fantastic console from Nintendo. Too bad Sony’s PlayStation kicked its butt in sales and third-party support all because the N64 used cartridges instead of CD-ROM.
@LakeSerperior According to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_game_consoles ; The Saturn had 9.26 million units sold, the 64 beat it with 32.93, and the PlayStation trumps them both with a whopping 102.49.
@AwesumIndustrys As a super woke person, thay's kind of logical. America is much bigger than Japan, so if the 64 did better in America it meant more overall sales than what Saturn would get for outperforming in Japan. Also, I find it kind of dubious for the Saturn to have sold under 10 million. Different models were made by Victor and Hitachi. And these are numbers that are two decades old. Do they account for sales in other Asian regions?
