The Texas Instruments SR-40 was released together with the TI Business Analyst and TI-30 on June 13, 1976. It originally cost $49.95 (£26.95) in 1976 money. These three calculators introduced the Majestic Line. The line is known for cost-reduction, with most calculators going down to a single chip. Also, every calculator in this group is clipped together without any screws.
This unit appears to be fully working, though the trim has suffered over the years. I also have the original instruction manual.
