This shampoo sample came in my May 2017 Sephora Play. I was VERY surprised by the texture of this shampoo!!! It is pretty thick...but it was the giant chunks of rock salt that threw me! I guess I was expecting it to have little exfoliating grains, not big pebble-sized chunks. The chunks to a good job of exfoliating the scalp when rubbed in. And the smell is a nice (sort of minty?) salon scent that was very nice. It took a good amount of product to cover all of my hair (and I don't have that much). I can see someone with lots of thicker hair using this up pretty quickly! It was easy to rinse out and I followed it up with the Christophe Robbin conditioning hair mask. Even with the supper silky hair mask, my hair was more knotted than usual when I went to comb it out. My hair did look very clean and a bit more voluminous than after my usual shampoo. It did keep my oils at bay pretty well. Though, I didn't notice any major improvement to my scalp. It is a nice shampoo, but I can't see me ever buying a full size!
