I purchased this “head to toe restoration” oil because I couldn’t find the scalp treatment oil (with a dropper) of the same name in store. This oil has the same ingredients (give or take) but it is thicker and a bit harder to work into the hair than the one made for the scalp. Castor oil is know for being a super moisturizer. Even though most of my skin is oily, the top of my head and the bottom of my feet suffer from serious dryness! I have heard good things bout this oil, so I thought I would give it a go. Instructions say: “For best results pump once into hands and cocktail with your favorite hair mask, body lotion, or hand cream. A little goes a long way. Not recommended for sensitive skin.” This oil has a pretty strong smell that reminds me of peanut oil. It is very thick and takes me more than a few pumps to cover my scalp. I pump some on my fingers and then massage it into my roots and scalp...about 20 min before showering (just like a hair mask). Than I shampoo and condition as usual. I can see how the dropper in the meant-for-scalp version of this oil would come in REALLY handy, because this stuff is messy and tricky to wash off!!! Unfortunately, I haven’t noticed any improvement in my scalp and it seems to be just as dry as it always has been. 😔. I don’t think this is worth repurchasing with no results and peanut-smelling hair!
