This is the wig that stared my obsession with wigs!!! I found this $8 wig at Savers (the thrift store) while checking out their cheap Halloween stuff. I have always wondered what I would look like with brown hair, so I picked up this wig on a whim to see if the color suits me. On the front of the package, the girl has a chestnut brown shade...but the actual wig is a dark brown (almost black) shade. The cut and style do match the packaging: an 80’s rocker mullet (al la Joan Jet). Up close, the hair looks fake, but a few steps back and it looks like real hair. It is a little shiny and feels a little course. The bangs need a little work because they are jagged and uneven (though that is keeping with the rocker style). The cap is that cheap netting that is much softer and less itchy than the fancy caps. The wig fits my little head pretty well. The hair is pretty thick and hides the cap well. It does shed but you can brush it pretty easily...and you have to brush it or it looks super ratty!!! I wore this wig last Halloween for my Wonder Woman costume. It was hot, and once I started sweating the wig started to slide more and more. Plus, by the end of the night, it looked like a hot mess!!! Still, very fun to play around with! Worth the $8 for sure!
