This sample size liquid lipstick came in my July 2019 Ipsy bag. This is not the first time I have tried this formula (I have the famous red shade in Bauws [sp]). I have never been super wowed by the formula. It is a thick liquid lipstick...but this is good because it is very opaque and pigmented. The problem with the thickness is that when it dries it looks very cakey, and this formula sinks into the fine lines in my lips and makes them look more cracked and dry than they really are (it photographs well, but IRL they don’t look as nice)! if you look at the second arm swatch photo (taken several hours after application), you can see how it sinks into the lines of my skin. The shade is a deep rosy pink that leans very coral. A very wearable color that is on the deeper side...perfect for a spring or fall shade. The shade does help with it wearing down gracefully. It still looks a bit crusty as it fades, but it doesn’t look horrible since it is a more neutral shade. The good news is that it isn’t sticky, it dries down without drying the lips too much, it transfers a bit (but not a ton), and it does have a decent wear time. So the good side is that it is comfortable and long wearing, the bad side is that it makes the lips look worse than they really are. The packaging is ok, just a shorter & skinnier version of FB he full size with the same tear-drop applicator that has a reservoir in the center. It doesn’t have the greatest scent: chemicals with a slight hint of vanilla. Again, not a huge fan of this formula, but I know many who are. I am very on the fence with it...3 1/3 stars, but I rounded up.
