God, I remember reading those comics in The Dandy - I think his enemies were Colonel Blight and Doctor Gloom

@F104GWU Blimey, I only remember the cartoon. According to wiki he started out in Nutty in 1980 and was later in Dandy/Beano. I was never really a comic reader so I missed all that.
