I just found this Xmas coffee hidden in a cupboard - so couldn't resist!! ☕️🙌 Enjoy your watches and coffee today. ⌚️😎 But can I ask all watch admiring friends to think about less fortunate people at this time and when possible act to help! My heart goes out to Italians, they have got it really bad ATM! ☹️ If possible do at least one thing everyday to help others! Yesterday I posted Paracetamol to a vulnerable friend who had none! Today I'm going to see if my 93 year old aunt needs food or anything delivering to her doorstep. Little things can make a big difference! Stay safe, think of others and help if possible!

I love my Seikos, but I am disappointed by how the aluminum bezels have worn in less than a year. For watches that are capable of regular exposure to salt water and intense sun this is as surprising as it is frustrating. I believe the wear has resulted from constant rubbing under the sleeve of coats and jackets that I wear half of the year in Indiana. The SKX is an easy fix. I have a ceramic bezel insert from DLW Watches coming. The Prospex Solar Black Edition is another story.

So I've had this Squale for a couple weeks and a couple of things are really nagging at me. I love the obvious quality and heft. But the GMT hand is not aligned properly, which is a problem common to the ETA 2893-2. It has been to the jeweler and if it was adjusted it wasn't enough (they didn't charge me.) The other things that bother me are the Rolex style hands. Obviously I knew when I bought it that it is basically an homage to the GMT Master, and that was part of the appeal. Maybe the GMT hand being off by so much (20+ min) generates dissatisfaction with the homage aspect. I regret not buying the Mk 2 when it was available last year. I am not prepared to sell it at this point, but I am not completely satisfied. Thoughts?
